接続詞
１． 等位接続詞
and/but/or

これらは、同じ品詞のものを並べないといけない

I have a cat, a dog and a rat.
I want a cat, a dog or a rat.

AとBとC・・・と
AやBやC・・・との違い

AとBとC・・・はA,B,Cに限定
AやBやC・・・はA,B,CのほかにDがある可能性あり？

I don’t want a cat, but a dog.

I want a very handsome and pretty guy.

A,B and C
このように「3つ例をあげる」ことがものすごく重要
“A,B and C”があればA,B,Cのいずれかが分かれば他は似たような意味合いを持つのであまり気にしなくてもよい。

A,B or C
“A,B or C”があればA,B,Cのいずれかが分かればほかの2つの単語は分かっている単語の全く違った意味や逆の方向性を持った単語である。多少気にする必要あり。
　

２． 従位接続詞
if(名詞節)　必ず目的格
if s’ V’ = [s’がv’するかどうかを]
I don’t know if Bill will come back to the company or not today.

Whetherの場合、主格にも目的格になる
I don’t know whether Bill will come back to the company or not today.
Whether Bill will come back to the company or not is very important for me.

= It is very important for me whether Bill will come back to the company or not

I don’t know when Bill will come back to the company today

このように疑問詞は(who,what,when,(while),where,why,how)は名詞節を作ることができる。
ただし、疑問詞(where,when,(while))は副詞節を作ることができる

When Bill come back to the company, he makes a daily report everyday.
This is the restaurant where my wife and I first met with each other. (関係副詞のあとは文は完成している)

以下は形容詞節
This is the restaurant which I produced last week.
Produceは目的語を取る動詞なので(whichの後ろの)文は完成していない。
